Black Tea

It may have changed its name to Sri Lanka in 1943, but our tea buyers still refer to the jewel in the Indian ocean as ‘Ceylon’. Some of the best teas in the world come from Ceylon. They are mellow and aromatic, rosy and bright, light but full of flavour. Serve with or without milk.

Although pale in colour this larger leaf Ceylon tea has a full bodied flavour, with even more of the distinctive aromatic character for which Sri Lankan teas are known. Serve with or without milk.

The perfect afternoon tea. Grown at an altitude of nearly 7000 feet on the slopes of the Himalayas, the cool mountain air slows down the growth of the tea bushes to give a small crop of excellent quality. With its subtle, delicate flavour, which is often likened to muscatel grapes, Darjeeling is known as ‘the champagne of teas’. Serve with or without milk.
