The Cockerel’s Kitchen, a family business, run by Julie & Gary Thomas is based in Grimsby, N E Lincolnshire. Although a relatively new company, (first birthday in November), we are pleased that the public has responded well to our products. The Cockerel’s Kitchen stemmed from an idea to provide fresh, quality food sourced as locally as possible. It was with this in mind that we joined the Taste of Lincolnshire campaign, which encourages the use of local producers, suppliers & ingredients.
Our own bread and cakes are handmade, and do not contain flour enhancers or preservatives. Bread rolls and cobs are available from Grimsby’s Farmers Market; where we also provide homemade soup, (every 3rd Friday of the month), The Farm Shop (Little London) near Immingham and Cleethorpe’s Market Place. We are open on Grimsby’s Top Town Market offering filled rolls & baguettes, selected hot food & coffee. We have included as many locally sourced ingredients as possible. People are showing a growing interest about where the food on their plates originates from – local being better. The Cockerel’s Kitchen uses and will actively recommend local products & suppliers. We know that by doing so, it enables our own fare to be fresher tasting & more enjoyable.
